Campus security is an important factor that parents consider when evaluating a school, and a robust security management system is a must for any quality institution. In times gone by, if children arrived late to school or failed to get home on time, both the school and parents were often left in the dark about the whereabouts of the child, and students were particularly vulnerable to being picked up by strangers or suffering injury en route to and from school. This flaw in traditional security systems eventually spurred improvements in campus security. Most schools have now established systems involving campus video surveillance and access control, but these new systems are still not intelligent or comprehensive enough to fully satisfy customer need.

二、 System Overview
Multiple authentication modes are available, including adult face recognition, face recognition + card (contactless smart card), and face recognition + password, and are integrated with 3G communications, GPS positioning, voice broadcast, and a B/S attendance management platform.
he Child Pickup and Dropoff Management System combines face recognition technology with a 3G communication module, GPS positioning, voice playback and B/S service management software.
Personal details, pickup and dropoff information, face templates, and card numbers are obtained from every child during school enrollment. Information such as attendance rolls, GPS position and bus check-in (for students using the school bus) is sent to the school monitoring center, which records the information and then forwards it to parents via voice messaging. The location of the school bus is also displayed so that parents stay informed of their child’s whereabouts throughout the entire bus journey. When students dropped off by parents arrive at school, their access is mediated by student face recognition, and their arrival details are sent through to the school monitoring center. Parents picking up their child at the end of the school day are cleared for access by parent face recognition, and the system notifies the child that their parents have arrived. Once the child is picked up, the child and parent undergo a joint authentication process. If this is successful, the system records the student attendance information and the details of their pickup, and notifies all linked telephone numbers by voice message. If authentication fails, an alarm sounds, notifying the security guard. Regardless of whether or not authentication is successful, the system will record the image of the pickup person and the exact time of pickup and dropoff, and a photograph of the pickup parent is available for query.
The child pickup management system is installed at the school gate, and even students who do not require pickup or dropoff still need to undergo face recognition procedures at the gate. The system will also automatically record the arrival and departure times of these students, and inform parents via voice messaging so that parents know the whereabouts of their child at all times.
Using the back-end management system platform, school administrators can view in real time all pickup and dropoff information. Teachers can use client-end queries to ascertain the arrival/departure details of children in their class and facilitate class management.
