The visible light face matching system leverages ReCon’s state of the art face recognition technology to search for the identity of a specific person among a large (thousands or millions) database of faces, such as a fugitive, missing person or VIP photo gallery. Photo vs. photo, video stream vs. photo, and video stream vs. video stream matching are all supported, and can be accomplished by use of a LAN, intranet, or the Internet.
The system is mainly used in:
● Security monitoring: Face recognition surveillance, criminal investigations, and mobile (portable) identity verification systems.
● Seamless integration of face recognition and video surveillance greatly enhances the early-warning value and intelligence of traditional video surveillance, while opening up new applications for face recognition technology, with important significance in fields such as counter-terrorism and criminal investigations. The system can be utilized in a variety of public places such as sports venues, subways, airports, hotels, railway stations, customs checkpoints, banks, government offices, shopping malls and apartment buildings.
● VIP customer identity management: The system allows proactive identification and management of valued customers in high-end stores. Face authentication of VIP customers facilitates service by quickly bringing up personal information such as their name and purchase preferences.
● Personal ID authentication: Useful for tasks such as banking, hotel registration, and airport and railway station check-in.
● ID verification at self-service terminals: Self-service administrative tasks, internet identity registration, examination registration, system enrollment, file security management, etc.
